The Living Room is the heart of any home so enjoy keeping it stylish and warm this Winter.

Rich, earthy tones

Colour can create maximum impact when it comes to both the look and feel of your living room. In 2018 we’re seeing an expansion on the dusty pinks and pale greys we all loved in 2017 with red, purple and berry tones setting the scene. If these colours are to rich for your style then green is the 2018 trend you’ll love to embrace. Cool and warm shades of green in a variety of hues are the go including deep olive, forest green and neutral palettes such as limestone and shale green.

A modern take on vintage

Some things never go out of style. Modern twists on classic pieces are always on the interior trends radar. For winter 2018 the key ‘old is new’ piece is the modern version of the vintage rug. Available in both neutral and bold tones look for a piece that compliments your existing furniture to instantly update and add warmth to your space. To nail the trend choose a style that has a distressed, washed or vibrantly dyed look.

Warm the soul with a fireplace

If you are lucky enough to have a fireplace, even a non-functioning one, don’t cover it up with a big TV or hide it behind the couch.  Make it the feature of your living room by arranging your furniture around it. It’s the ultimate luxury for a cosy winter evening. Decorate a non-functioning fireplace with a basket of logs, over-sized candles or fresh flowers.

Handcrafted / one of a kind pieces

From art, cushions and pots to side tables and vases, artisan pieces are a trend that allow you to embrace your obsession with those gorgeous homewares stores you love to venture into. There are no rules with this trend, the goal is to select pieces that reflect your style, travels and usage.
