Spring colour trends and how to use them in your home

“On Trend” is a phrase we hear all the time these days, but what does it really mean when it comes to brightening up your home for Spring?

Rethink the Blues

If repainting your whole room seems overwhelming and out of budget, bring your room up to speed with the use of colour in your soft furnishings.  If you’re not into spring pastels try soothing blues, like indigo for a rug, cushions or even a simple vase or bowl.

You are gold baby, solid GOLD

With metallics here to stay, every home should consider featuring at least one ‘bling’ piece. Gold is a soft and safe choice as it warms and adds decadence to a space.  If soft and safe isn’t your style, gold can be used to add the WOW factor when used for features such as pendant lighting or furniture.

Upsize your artwork

You can add colour to a room without going to the expense of repainting entirely. Large scale artworks are in and add considerable impact to a room. There are no rules with art. Follow your taste and don’t be afraid to experiment with wall hung, leaning or mural pieces.

More than just greenery

Plants are a wonderful way to add a splash of colour into a room.  Coloured foliage, bouquets of flowers and even the pots and vases you use are all part of colour trends this spring.  Not only will your home look and smell divine, the health benefits of plants inside the home are a win-win.
