Open plan living is still very much in with large islands, ample storage and hidden appliances all proving to be timeless. If you’ve got the space consider a butlers pantry. Open shelving is now the preferred option over traditional wall mounted cupboards.

Colours

White, black, neutral grey and taupe with timber highlights are all ideal to use as a base for a new kitchen. These tones can be adapted to changing trends and personal tastes over time. By simply changing wall colour, furnishings, or even tapware you can update your kitchen’s look every few years without a major renovation. 2018 colour trends include black, olive, copper, gunmetal grey and navy.

Marble and terrazo bench tops are the big thing in 2018, and concrete is also here to stay. Engineered marble, stone and concrete products have reached a new level of sophistication. They have become popular among home owners as they are often more practical and hard wearing in busy family kitchens while still offering a beautiful appearance.
